Wrongly assumed to be the child of Herbert Alfred Maddox and Laura Garlick or Rogers.

There it is claimed that Herbert is the child of Thomas Maddox and Maggie Adams, who marry in 1929 at Ellesmere, Shropshire.

6 children are registered to this couple between 1929 and 1934 in either Atcham or Ellesmere, Shropshire. There is a "gap" between 1931 and 1934.

Herbert probably emigrates to Canada before 1959. He returns to England in 1959, marries Doris Austin and then presumably returns to Canada where he dies 5 July 2013 at Edmonton, Alberta.
